My FIRST time...

BLOGGING!
My friend Kristin intoduced me to the idea of a blog as a way to easily keep in touch and share pictures with family and friends. It's late, Steve's at work and there are no good TV shows on Tuesday nights...why not start a blog?

I plan on posting little updates about our family, thoughts, experiences, pictures and video clips, and I hope all of you will post comments on my page as well. So I guess I'll start sharing...right now!

The day Mollee was born in March, I went to the hospital first and Steve joined me later. We'd been wanting a digital camera forever, and decided the birth of our third baby was the reason we should finally buy one. Before coming to the hospital, Steve stopped by Wal-Mart to buy us a new camera. The camera has the ability take short video clips, which is something I didn't think I wanted or needed. It wasn't until July that I started goofing around with the video function, and now I LOVE it!!! I use it all the time, and I'm excited to post our little vidoes here since they're too big to send by email.

I was so excited to share Mollee's first real laugh, and now I can! This was Steve's birthday, July 25th and Cali was making Mollee laugh while she was swinging in the backyard.

A little about Cali...

If you ask Cali, 1st grade is fabulous! She cracks me up every day with newly learned vocabulary words. One day we saw a guy riding a unicycle. Wehn Steve brought her attention to him, she told us matter-of-factly that, "He's versatile. That means he can do lots of different things." As you can imagine, Steve and I just looked at each other and burst out laughing! Her cute little face is so expressive when she talks, we're always entertained when she's around. All this passion for life of hers comes with a bit of a price; she is our resident drama queen and anything that happens is usually a TRAGEDY! Although, I can't imagine life without her ;)

Mooey-Koo...

That's one of the many nicknames we have for MaKensie. Kensie had her 4th birthday last month and thinks she's now "Cali's age". It's hard for her to accept that even though she had a birthday, she's still younger than Cali. I think MaKensie is our family klutz (gets that from me). She recently did a face plant on the driveway and wore owies on her lip, nose, eye and forehead for a week or so. Kensie uses the word "already" at the end of most sentences, and it doesn't usually make sense. For example, we recently dove up a canyon not far from our house to see the Cocoa salmon swimming upstream to spawn, just like you see on TV. While driving home Steve asked Kensie if she had fun and she responded something like, "Yeah, I like to see them already". What a goof!

The Mollee-wog

Oh my gosh, I cannot believe Mollee is 7 months old! She's rolling over and can almost sit up on her own for more than a few seconds. She has a new sort of hissing-spitting sound that she does all the time. It's her "happy" noise. Mollee is getting so chubby, you'd never know she was a premie. She had a doctor appointment last week and was in the 8th percentile for weight and size, so I guess technically, she's still small. I suppose I shouldn't be, but I'm still amazed at how easy it is to just love this new little person in our life. I guess that's part of the simple beauty that is God's plan.

Steve and I are at the tail end of refinancing our house. We're supposed to close tomorrow night and are anxious to wrap things up. This will allow us to pay off some debt and save amost $200 every month. YEAH! We will get some cash back that will go toward putting a new roof on our leaky house. When it rains, we have a leak in the bathroom that makes using the toilet an experience. The news has been predicting bad weather for the next 10 days or so, which will put off our roof project for a while. Everyone is more than welcome to come help!!!

this was kinda long. I'm excited to be a regular blogger though, and I had fun setting it up. I love you all...enjoy my blog!
