I'm finally getting around to updating my blog. We got really busy and a little stressed out while we raced to finish our roof before the snow came. We were so glad that snow held off unitl after Thanksgiving...we finished it Thanksgiving weekend. I say "we" but it was 99% Steve, all by himself. He could only work on the roof during Mollee's naps during the day. By the time I'd get home on his days off it would be too dark for him to work on it. Needless to say, it ended up dragging on and on. Steve is amazing and the roof is keeping us dry. I love that it only rains outside now instead of onto the kitchen counter and the floor by the toilet. The one thing that didn't happen before the snow came was getting all the old roof tiles cleaned up. We had arranged for a dumpster, but it never came. So, as you can see from the picture, we have quite the project to look forward to in the spring.
Thanks giving was really fun. It was so great to have my Mom, Dad and little brother Chris come for a week or so. The girls love their uncle!
We had a nice Christmas. We'd planned to make a trip to Steve's parents' house the day after Christmas. Steve went out to start our old Suburban and let it warm up while we loaded up our junk, but it seems the zurvan (as Kensie calls it) finally gave up the ghost. We ended up buying another suburban on New Year's Eve. We LOVE the working heater and 4 wheel drive. It really is a blessing to have a vehicle that functions properly.
An exciting event this December was getting Mollee's ears pierced. We waited longer to pierce Mollee's ears than we did with Cali or Kenz. But just like her sisters, Mollee hardly cried. Her little diamonds are sooo cute!
Mollee finally figured out crawling a coule weeks ago. At first she didn't realize she was doing it, but now she's all over the place. I forgot how inconvenient it can be to have a baby on the move. We've had to get in the habit of keeping the bathroom door closed at all times. Our little Mollee is more effective than any vacuum cleaner we've ever had. She's always got something in her mouth that she shouldn't...I don't even know where she finds it!
Me and the girls partied on New Year's Eve waiting for 2008. Steve got home from work in time to count down with us. Once it hit midnight, the girls ran back and forth in front of our house banging pots and shouting "Happy New Year!" I'm not sure if our neighbors appreciated it, but it was fun. By the time I went to buy poppers, the store were all out so we had to settle on little snapper things you throw on the ground. Kenise dropped hers on our front porch and we were "sanpping" everytime we went in or out of our front door for a week!
On that note, here's wishing everyone a fabulous 2008!
